Boardwalk operates an extensive network of natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGL) pipelines and storage facilities, serving critical markets across the Midwest, Gulf Coast and Southeast. From Texas and Appalachia to the Mississippi River Corridor, our infrastructure connects supply to demand by delivering safe and reliable energy.

Since the beginning, our goal has been to transport the energy that powers progress. Over the decades, our pipelines have laid the foundation for a modern network shaped by innovation, operational excellence and a commitment to helping markets grow and communities thrive. From early transmission corridors to major system expansions, our reliable energy infrastructure has always been vital to America’s energy story. 
Since our formation in 2005, Boardwalk has grown into one of the nation’s leading providers of natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGL) transportation. Through strategic acquisitions, capital investments and an unwavering focus on safety and reliability, we are expanding our footprint, strengthening our systems and deepening our role in meeting the country’s evolving energy needs.
Our history is more than just where we began. It is the foundation of the progress we continue to make.

2009

Between 2005 and 2009, Gulf South and Texas Gas completed several large system expansions and Boardwalk placed Gulf Crossing pipeline into service.

2011

In 2011, Boardwalk acquired tPetal and Hattiesburg natural gas storage companies.

2012

Boardwalk diversified into natural gas liquids by acquiring Boardwalk Louisiana Midstream in 2012.

2014

In 2014, Boardwalk acquired the Evangeline Ethylene Pipeline System, further expanding Boardwalk’s service offerings to petrochemical customers.

2016

In 2016, Texas Gas completed two projects to bring Marcellus and Utica gas to the Gulf Coast markets.

2018

In July 2018, Boardwalk became a privately-held, wholly-owned subsidiary of Loews Corporation.

2018

In November 2018, Gulf South placed its Coastal Bend Header facilities into service to serve the Freeport LNG export facility located in Freeport, TX.

2019

On December 2, 2019, FERC approved the merger of Gulf South and Gulf Crossing.
