Connect major gas production areas to high-demand markets in southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana
Support industrial and utility users along the Gulf Coast
Strengthen bidirectional capacity and system reliability
Promote energy security and long-term economic development
Project overview

The Texas Gateway Project is in the early planning phase. Survey permission requests are being sent to landowners to help determine the best route. Final design and scope are subject to change based on engineering, environmental and stakeholder input.
While the final route and design are still being determined, the project is expected to include:
- A new compressor station in San Jacinto County, Texas,
- Additional compression at existing Gulf South compressor stations, and
- Approximately 155 miles of new pipeline infrastructure in Texas and Louisiana.
Preliminary Pipeline Route
The Texas Gateway Project pipeline route is not final and may change based on survey results, engineering and environmental studies. The preliminary route may cross the following counties and parish:
- Texas: Panola, Shelby, San Augustine, Sabine, Jasper and Newton
- Louisiana: Beauregard

Gulf South values early engagement and open communication with the communities near its compressor station facilities. As part of the SECURE Project, we hosted public open house meetings to share project details, answered questions and gathered feedback from residents and stakeholders. The meetings provided an opportunity to learn more about the project and its benefits, and to access materials presented during each session. Meeting locations, times and resources are listed below.
